The Home Buying Process

Buying a home is an exciting journey, and having a clear plan can make all the difference. From understanding your budget and getting pre-approved to searching for the right home, writing an offer, navigating inspections, and receiving your keys, I will guide you through each step with clarity and confidence.

My goal is to make the process feel organized, informed, and tailored to your timeline, goals, and next chapter.

The Journey

The 8-Step Homebuying Journey

1

Prepare

This is where you get your footing before anything moves fast. Take stock of your savings, your credit, and what a comfortable monthly payment actually looks like for your life. A little groundwork here saves a lot of stress later.

What you'll do: Pull your credit report and sketch a realistic monthly budget.

2

Financing

You'll talk with a lender about what you may qualify for and what documents they'll need. This conversation shapes your price range before you fall in love with a home that doesn't fit it.

Having this handled early makes every later step move faster.

My role: Connect you with a trusted local lender and help you understand the paperwork.

3

Search

Now the fun part starts. We narrow in on neighborhoods and home types that fit your must-haves, and set up alerts so you see new listings as soon as they hit the market across the Inland Empire.

What you'll do: Share your must-haves vs. nice-to-haves so the search stays focused.

4

Tour

Seeing homes in person tells you things photos never will — the light, the layout, the street. We'll walk through together, and I'll point out things worth noticing, good and bad.

My role: Schedule showings and give you honest, practical feedback at each one.

5

Offer

Once you find the right home, we put together an offer that reflects the local market and your goals — price, terms, and timeline all matter here, not just the number.

We'll talk through strategy before anything gets submitted.

My role: Research comparable sales and help you shape a competitive, sensible offer.

6

Inspections & Due Diligence

Once your offer is accepted, professionals inspect the home so you know what you're truly buying. If issues turn up, this is your window to ask questions or renegotiate before moving forward.

What you'll do: Attend the inspection if you can, and review the report closely.

7

Closing

This is the paperwork stretch — final loan approval, a title review, and a last walkthrough of the home. It can feel like a lot of signatures, but each one is moving you closer to the keys.

My role: Keep every party on schedule and make sure nothing slips through the cracks.

8

Move

Closing day is done, keys are yours, and it's time to make the place your own. Take a breath — you made it through every stage of the process.

What you'll do: Schedule movers and utilities, and enjoy the moment.

Get Ready

What to Have Ready Before Step One

01

A Realistic Monthly Budget

Know what a comfortable payment looks like for you, beyond just what you might qualify for.

02

A Lender Conversation

An early conversation with a lender clarifies your range and what documents you'll need later.

03

Must-Haves vs. Nice-to-Haves

Sort out what you truly need — bedrooms, location, yard — from what's simply a bonus.

04

Your Timeline

Think about when you'd ideally like to move, and how flexible that date really is.
